Drink Archive ("we", "our", or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and safeguard your information when you use our mobile application.
1. Information We Collect
1.1 Local Data
Drink Archive is designed to respect your privacy. Most of the data you input, such as:
- Liquor information (Name, Category, ABV, Producer, Region)
- Tasting notes and inventory records
- Application settings
are stored locally on your device using secure storage mechanisms. We do not transmit this personal inventory data to our own servers.
1.2 Camera and Photo Library
To provide features like liquor label recognition (OCR), our app requests access to your device's Camera and Photo Library.
- Camera: Used to take photos of liquor labels for scanning.
- Photo Library: Used to select existing images for scanning or to save search result images. Images processed for text recognition are handled on-device or via secure service providers; we do not store these images on our servers.
2. Third-Party Services
We use third-party services that may collect information used to identify you or provide specific functionality:
- Google AdMob: We display advertisements to support the app. AdMob may collect your device’s advertising ID and usage data to provide personalized ads. Google Privacy Policy

- External Data APIs: When you search for liquor information, search queries (such as product names) are sent to third-party providers including Sakenowa and Open Food Facts. These services receive only the search terms required to provide results and do not receive your personal identity.
